Two Chicago area college students are being held in a Copenhagen prison after a ride with an Uber driver went wrong.

The lawyer for the family of a Chicago-area college student said he and a friend had a dispute with their rideshare driver.

"We were both just very shocked about the fact that we were being arrested over this incident," Owen Ray told "Good Morning America" hours after being released.

Owen Ray and his friend were detained on April 1 while waiting to board their flight back to Chicago. Charged with assault, both were held in a Copenhagen prison.
