The BBC didn’t need to sack Jeremy Clarkson from its hit car show Top Gear, says his former co-presenter James May.

Back in 2015, Top Gear came to a sudden halt when the BBC elected not to renew Clarkson's contract for a "fracas" with producer Oisin Tymon, said to have occurred due to the lack of availability of hot food after a day's filming.

Top Gear icon James May believes his departure from the hit motoring show could have been dodged, despite Jeremy Clarkson's infamous scuffle with one of the producers. The trio, including Richard Hammond, exited after Jeremy's altercation in 2015 in Yorkshire with producer Oisin Tymon over a catering dispute which resulted in physical conflict.
