Pope Francis' doctors on Monday lited a "guarded prognosis" though he will need to remain in the "hospital setting for a period of time" in the treatment of double pneumonia, the Vatican said.

Friday marks three weeks since Pope Francis was hospitalized for bronchitis, which then led to double pneumonia.

Pope Francis, battling double pneumonia, remains under close medical supervision as he enters his fourth week in the hospital.
