The Browns added a little bit of veteran production to the defensive tackle position by agreeing to deal with Maliek Collins.

By Thursday morning, the Browns agreed to terms with defensive tackle Maliek Collins, who was released earlier in the day by the 49ers after one season. It’s a two-year deal worth up to $20 million.

Though the signing was reported as a two-year agreement, the Browns often use void deals to backload contracts and spread out cap hits. The team entered the week with about $13 million in available cap space, but Myles Garrett’s agreed-upon mega-extension had not yet been officially processed as of Wednesday afternoon.
