Key Cowboys defender could miss Week 3
The Dallas Cowboys have been ravaged by injuries in the secondary early this season. Trevon Diggs has managed to play both games in 2025, but he, too, could be unavailable on Sunday.
One of the best defensive minds in the game, Allen spent the past three seasons as the Saints head coach. He succeeded Sean Payton, under whom he was the defensive coordinator for seven seasons, during which time he crossed paths with Lions head coach Dan Campbell, hence the connection for Johnson.
“The NFL fined #Cowboys WRs CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens $14,491 each for unsportsmanlike conduct/violent gesture on this touchdown celebration last week,” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero wrote on X. “Pickens was also fined another $14,491 for removing his helmet before leaving the field. No flags were thrown.”
Trevon Diggs could miss Week 3, something which would deal another injury blow to the Cowboys' secondary. More at Pro Football Rumors.
