Several watch parties are planned across the Grand Strand on Friday as the Coastal Carolina University baseball team takes on Arizona in its bid for a second College World Series championship since winning it all in 2016.

CONWAY, S.C. (WMBF) – Teal Nation is fired up for Coastal’s baseball team and the 2025 College World Series. The Coastal Carolina baseball team will be taking on Arizona at 2 p.m. EST on Friday in Omaha.

The NCAA baseball tournament will soon be trimmed down to eight teams. Here's a look at who is punching their ticket to the College World Series:

Six conferences and an independent will be represented at the College World Series. None were among the final eight in Omaha a year ago.

UCLA is 47-16 on the year and ranks No. 11 nationally in the Massey Ratings. Playing in the Big Ten, the Bruins didn't face the same caliber of schedule as some other teams in Omaha did. Their NCAA Tournament path has been on the easier side too, facing UTSA in the super regional.
