Third baseman Eugenio Suarez is in his second season with the Arizona Diamondbacks after making his big-league debut in 2014. The 33-year-old right-handed power bat established himself as an offensive threat during his seven-year tenure with the Cincinnati Reds, where he made his first All-Star team in 2018 and smashed 189 home runs in 916 games.

It seems Eugenio Suarez avoided the worst. Tests on the Diamondbacks third baseman’s right index finger came back negative after he was hit with a 96 mph fastball from Tigers reliever Will Vest on Monday.
