AP Top 25 Extra Points: No. 22 North Texas ends FBS' longest ranking dry spell and re-enters CFP mix

Rarely does the No. 1 team in the AP Top 25 poll lose its spot atop the rankings despite not losing, but that could happen for a second consecutive week entering Week 3 of the young season. In fact, I'm predicting exactly that come Monday.
Texas A&M maintained its standing in the top three after a comeback win over South Carolina, while Texas Tech moved up two spots to No. 6. Oklahoma is also in the top 10 after its upset of Alabama. Meanwhile, Texas fell to No. 17 after its stumble on the road at Georgia.

Associated Press poll leaders Ohio State, Indiana and Texas A&M are prohibitive favorites in their games Saturday and No. 10 Texas’ game at No. 5 Georgia will be in the spotlight.
Michigan narrowly beat Northwestern over the weekend, 24-22, a high-wire act at Wrigley Field that saw the Wolverines overcome five turnovers and need a game-winning field goal as time expired. MLive’s Aaron McMann, one of 66 media members with a vote in the AP poll, had Michigan 19.
The Big 12 has several unbeaten teams through the first two weeks of the year. West Virginia and TCU both got big wins.
