WWE and AEW continue to grapple as two of the top brands of the sport at present. The Tony Khan-led promotion will run its major upcoming international event on the same day as the Stamford-based company's impending PLE, possibly marking a historic programming battle last waged almost 38 years ago.
As of just a couple weeks ago, AEW All Out and WWE Wrestlepalooza were set to go head-to-head on Saturday, September 20. Earlier this month, AEW announced a time change for All Out, revealing that it’ll start at 3PM ET instead. Just a couple of days later, ESPN revealed that they’ll be airing a bunch of pre-show content before Wrestlepalooza.
